All the meat sold on West Country Farmer comes from just that, West Country Farmers!

The beef comes directly from our own farm in East Stour, which our family has farmed since 1938. We also sell our own pork and lamb too, but when stocks run low at Manor Farm we use pork from our Uncle’s farm (also in East Stour), or from my 2nd cousin Paul Thomas, who lives in Mere. Michael Green in East Knoyle just down the road also provides pork on occasion.

Likewise, when we run low on lamb we use other local Dorset farmers.

Our chicken breasts and whole chickens come from Creedy Carver in Devon, and all are free range.

Our orders will be delivered every Friday to make sure you are receiving the freshest meat possible. Any orders taken up to Thursday morning at 9am will be delivered on the Friday of the same week. Any orders after this time will be delivered the following Friday. You can of course collect your order at The Udder Farm Shop if you so wish. If you do require a different delivery date, please give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.

Our delivery company, APC, will leave your goods with a neighbour or in a safe place if you are not in (let us know when you checkout if you have specific instructions). You can also get your purchase delivered to work. Our packaging means your meat products will be absolutely fine left for up to 24 hours.

We don’t increase our prices to absorb packaging and delivery. Instead we charge two set rates depending on the cost of the total order.

Orders up to £75 will have a delivery charge of £4.99.
Anything over £75 is delivered free of charge.

You can cancel your order at any point up to the Thursday at 9am. After this time your order will be prepared and readied for dispatch and cannot be cancelled. To cancel your order please call us directly.

If you have any issues with your order at all once it has arrived, please give us a call. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

We are able to offer our customers traceability on the products they are buying, with excellent customer service and extremely knowledgeable butchers who are creating each meat box as the order comes in. For this reason, if you want any changes to your meat box, or you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us on 01747 838899.

We will always send meat boxes to you fresh (unless otherwise requested), so that you can keep what you need and home freeze the rest to be enjoyed throughout the following months.

All orders are sent via next day delivery with APC.

We use ice-packed cool boxes (Ice Cube System) and gel pack coolants from Chilled Packaging using their Summer packaging which has been designed to keep your products below +5 degrees centigrade for up to 72 hours.

Our products are vacuum packed and labelled for easy freezing and refrigeration.
